Wake up to see a huge dragon in your city. What now?
A campfire, a scream, and a small lie that gets bigger and bigger
A stolen ring, fear of spiders, and a sinister stranger
At a Chinese restaurant, protagonist opens their fortune cookie and reads the following message: "your life is in danger. Say nothing to anyone. You must leave the city immediately and never return. Repeat: say nothing..." (long as fortune cookie)
Protagonist picks up a hitchhiker on their way home from work. The hitchhiker tries to persuade protagonist to leave everything and drive them across the country.
A bat gets into the house. Protagonist's spouse becomes hysterical, frightened that it may have rabies. In their panic the spouse ends up shutting the bat and protagonist in the bedroom, while they call an exterminator/person to get the bat from a safe place within the house. The spouse's behaviour changes the way protagonist sees their spouse.
Protagonist develops the idea that they are able to hear the voices of the dead on a certain radio channel. They decide to take advantage of this channel to find answers to some questions that are bothering them about their dead parents.
Protagonist notices that a stranger is following them. They pretend not to notice. The stranger follows them home, watching them go inside. Then when the stranger leaves, the protagonist turns the tables and starts to follow the stalker.
A child protagnoist moves into a new home that other children claim is haunted. Protagonist begins to invent ghost stories to tell at school in order to get attention. The more stories that they tell, however, the more scared of their own house they become.
